Online Brainstorm
Involver is ISIZ's new on-line brainstorm tool. It has been developed to offer an alternative for traditional web-surveys and the traditional focus-group session.
Involver makes it possible for a large number of respondents to contribute to a brainstorm session. The participants themselves play a role in the evaluation and moderation of ideas. This makes the results of an Involver research project more complete and refined than those of traditional on-line questionnaires, which do not allow for interaction between participants.
The Involver system has been developed by ISIZ to offer an alternative for traditional qualitative research. Below is a description of the Involver process.
Step by Step Description of the Process
Introduction Page Respondents enter on a portal, and they are given a short explanation of the survey's set-up.
Step 1: Write down your best ideas Respondents are asked to write down the best ideas that come to mind as a result of the topic question.
Step 2: Assess Ideas of Others In this step, respondents are presented with a random sample of five ideas from other participants, which they can then assess.
Step 3: Compare ideas The respondent's ideas can be compared to those of others. Ideas that are largely similar can be selected and the least complete one can be deleted.
Step 4: Adding a Personal Idea or Improving upon an Existing Idea Subsequently, the respondents can improve the formerly stated ideas, or changing the pre-existing idea of someone else.
Step 5: Examining and Sending Your Idea In this last step, the respondent examines his final idea using several points of a checklist, after which the idea can be sent off.
Finish The final page of Involver has been reached. The respondent is thanked for his or her cooperation. Participants can also be linked to the researcher's website.
